Practical Philosopher

Roman strongly supports holistic sustainable and preventive healthcare which is the reason why he works for TRIA. He contributes an intellectual and practical philosophical dimension to TRIA’s aintegrative wellness and holistic health care concept. His main aim is to make philosophy practically useful for individuals in their every day life and to assess day to day problems from a practical philosophical point of view.

Since the beginning of his studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Germany – from which he obtained his PhD (2004) and MA (1999) in Philosophy – he was interested in therapeutic aspects of philosophy and philosophical aspects of therapy. He has published books and journal articles on happiness, lifestyle, health, pseudo-therapies, consumerism, fashion and other issues situated at the intersection of culture and human nature. He is also teaching at Assumption University’s Graduate School of Philosophy & Religion and serves as examiner for the Graduate School of Psychology. He has gathered more that ten years teaching, research and advising experiences on three different continents: Europe (Weingarten University of Education, Germany, 1999-2004), Africa (National University, Lesotho, 2004-2008) and Asia (Assumption University, Thailand. Since 2008).
